Hamden Central Communications received both 911 calls and a report from the fire alarm company that services the property.

A fund has been created to benefit the family of Watertown firefighter Joseph Toscano, who lost his life in the line of duty on March 17, 2017. The Watertown Fire Department and Watertown Firefighters Local 1347 IAFF announced the creation of the fund to help the family of the fallen firefighter. The Randolph resident leaves behind a wife and five children ages 12-19.

Fitchburg Fire Department Local 3128 regrets to announce the passing of active duty Firefighter John F. Mulcahy. Jack joined the department as a provisional firefighter on July 1,1974 and served in that position until October 17, 1976. Jack later rejoined the fire department as a permanent firefighter on February 17, 1978 where he went on to serve the City of Fitchburg for over 41 years.
