Have fun and raise money for the PFFNH Fallen Firefighters Family Fund. This fund helps our fallen Brothers and Sisters families when they make the ultimate sacrifice in the Line Of Duty. This is a public event and 35% of winnings go to the 4F Fund. Doors open at 11 a.m. & gambling is from noon until 1 a.m.
George Burton Remembrance
04/18/19 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
April 17th marked the 36th anniversary of George Burton’s line of duty death while with the Parker Volunteer Fire Department. After responding to several calls on March 25th 1983, George suffered a heart attack while at the fire station. He was transported to the hospital and died on April 17th 1983.  https://www.southmetro.

On Monday April 15th, Local members were dispatched to a vehicle into a building.  Members arrived on scene and found on vehicle into the building.  Members from the technical rescue team stabalized the structure.  The incident remains under investigation. https://www.southmetro.

Garner Memorial Scholarships Recipients

The Richard Garner Memorial Committee has selected the two scholarship recipients for the 2019-2020 school year.  The process consisted of an application, oral board interview, and review of letters of reference, academic performance, and community service/outreach involvement.  After the process was completed, we have selected Wyatt Bomkamp and Andrew Eyler.

Montana Firefighter Health and Safety Bill passed another hurdle -- Senate Bill 160 passed the third reading in the House

HELENA- The Firefighter Health and Safety Bill passed another hurdle Monday afternoon. Senate Bill 160 passed the third reading in the House with a vote of 89 to 9. Great Falls International Association of Fire Fighters Local Eight President Dave Van Son said they are very excited. “This is the furthest it has ever made,” Van Son said.
Birch Way Structure Fire

Just before 2 p.m. on April 11th, Local members responded to a working residential fire on S. Birch Way in Centennial. When members arrived on scene they found smoke coming out of the house and a fire in the kitchen. Members were able to knock down the fire, but discovered it had extended into the attic.
Malden Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Central Fire Station

The community recently celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Grand Opening of Malden’s Central Fire Station located at the corner of Sprague and Salem Streets. The well-attended ceremony was presided over by Assistant Chief Bill Sullivan with remarks offered by Fire Chief Kevin Finn, Commissioner Emery Haskell and City Council President Jadeane Sica.

San Francisco Fire, Cal Fire team up to help Camp Fire victims

While the victims of the Camp Fire are still trying to rebuild their lives, Cal Fire has teamed up with the San Francisco Fire Department to help make the process a little easier during the holidays.   At the San Francisco Toy Headquarters Friday morning, firefighters gathered toys for the 315 students at Ponderosa Elementary School who were displaced by the Camp Fire.
